About This Product

■Summary

The MP020A-5 is an offline primary-side regulator that provides accurate constant-voltage and constant-current regulation without the use of optocouplers or secondary-side feedback circuits. MP020A-5 has a built-in 700V MOSFET. The MP020A-5's variable off-time control allows the flyback converter to operate in discontinuous conduction mode (DCM). MP020A-5 also has protection features such as VCC undervoltage protection (UVLO), overcurrent protection (OCP), overtemperature protection (OTP), open circuit protection (OCkP), and overvoltage protection (OVP). Internal high-voltage start-up current sources and power-saving techniques limit no-load power consumption to less than 30mW. The MP020A-5's variable switching frequency technology provides natural spectral shaping to smooth EMI characteristics, making it suitable for offline low-power battery chargers and adapters. MP020A-5 is offered in SOIC8-7A package.
