About This Product

■Summary

The MP161 integrates a 700V switching regulator, a low-dropout linear regulator, and a 2-channel relay driver. MP161 also has a special standby mode to minimize standby power. The MP161 is designed for home automation, industrial automation, and other applications employing relays and MCUs. The 700V switching regulator employs constant voltage (CV) regulation with internal loop compensation. Efficiency at light loads is optimized by properly adjusting the switching frequency and peak current. It also includes various protection features to ensure reliable operation. An integrated low-dropout linear regulator can operate from inputs up to 30V. Output voltage is fixed at 5V or 3.3V. MP161 also features overtemperature protection (OTP). The built-in relay driver is intended to drive up to two relays using the switching regulator output. A freewheeling diode is integrated to reduce external components. When standby mode is enabled, the switching regulator's output voltage is reduced to reduce power consumption. MP161 is offered in SOIC-16 package.
