About This Product

■Summary

The MP172A is a primary-side regulator that provides accurate constant voltage (CV) regulation without an optocoupler. Supports buck, boost, buck-boost, and flyback topologies. A 700V MOSFET integrated into the device simplifies the structure and reduces cost. This feature optimizes the device for offline, low-power applications such as consumer electronics and standby power. MP172A is a green mode operating regulator. As the load decreases, both the peak current and switching frequency decrease. This feature provides superior efficiency at light loads and increases overall average efficiency. Protection features include thermal shutdown (TSD), undervoltage lockout (UVLO) on VCC, overload protection (OLP), short-circuit protection (SCP), and open-loop detection. MP172A is offered in TSOT23-5 and SOIC-8 packages.
