About This Product

■Summary

The MCQ1823 is an automotive grade linear Hall effect current sensor IC for AC or DC current sensing. Differential hole arrays cancel uniform or gradient stray magnetic fields. The low resistance of the primary conductor (0.6 mΩ) allows high currents to flow in close proximity to the integrated circuit containing the high-precision Hall sensor. This current generates a magnetic field that is sensed at two different points by an integrated Hall effect transducer. The difference in magnetic field between these two points is then converted into a voltage proportional to the applied current. Spinning current technology is used to keep the offset low and stable. The MCQ1823 integrates fast overcurrent detection (OCD) to easily monitor system overcurrent (OC) events. The MCQ1823's small footprint reduces board area and is ideal for space-constrained applications. The MCQ1823 is available in an ultra-small TQFN-12 (3mm x 3mm) package and is AEC-Q100 qualified.
