About This Product

■Summary

The MPQ3369-AEC1 is a 6-channel current source boost converter designed to drive white LED arrays as backlights for small to medium sized LCD panels. MPQ3369-AEC1 uses peak current mode as a PWM control architecture to regulate the boost converter. A 6-channel current source is applied to the LED cathode to adjust the LED brightness. Adjusts the current in each LED string to a set value via an external current setting resistor. String-to-string current regulation accuracy is 2.5%. MPQ3369-AEC1 uses low on-resistance MOSFET and low headroom voltage designed for higher efficiency. Equipped with standard I2C digital interface for easy use. Switching frequency is programmable by resistor, I2C interface, or external clock. This device offers analog, PWM, and mixed dimming modes with PWM input. Dimming mode can be selected by I2C interface or MIX/AD pin. It also has a phase shift function that eliminates noise during PWM dimming. Robust protection features are built in to ensure safe operation of the device. Protection modes include overcurrent protection (OCP), overvoltage protection (OVP), overtemperature protection (OTP), LED short circuit, and open protection. There is also an option to automatically reduce the LED current at high temperatures. MPQ3369-AEC1 is available in QFN-24 (4mm x 4mm) and TSSOP28-EP packages.
