About This Product

■Summary

MPQ2026A-AEC1 is a dual channel low dropout (LDO) regulator. It includes a boost preregulator operating at 400kHz or 2.2MHz with an industry-standard synchronous serial interface and one-time programmable (OTP) memory. The device provides phantom power to low-noise amplifiers (LNAs) for active antennas in automotive systems and can operate from cold-crank conditions (3V) to load-dump conditions (40V). The device delivers up to 300mA per channel with excellent load and line regulation. During normal operation, if the battery is healthy (i.e., the input voltage (VIN) exceeds the pre-boost turn-on threshold), the pre-boost regulator is completely turned off, reducing quiescent current (quiescent current). This makes the MPQ2026A suitable for always-on power supplies. The preboost regulator provides an integrated MOSFET, further reducing external component count and EMI. Both the LDO and boost outputs are configurable via an industry standard synchronous serial interface. The preboost regulator output voltage (VOUT_BOOST) can be set between 6.5V and 15.9V. The LDO output voltage (VOUT1 and VOUT2) can be set between 1V and 13.6V. This protects the LDO output during load dumps. For bench evaluation, various configurations can be easily configured through an industry standard synchronous serial interface instead of changing external components. Once optimal settings are reached, settings can be permanently saved in multi-page OTP memory. MPQ2026A is available in a QFN-16 (4mm x 4mm) package.
