About This Product

■Summary

The MPQ2024A-AEC1 is a low-dropout (LDO) regulator containing a boost preregulator operating at 400kHz or 2.2MHz with digital interface and memory. The device provides phantom power to low-noise amplifiers (LNAs) for automotive active antennas from cold crank to load dump with input voltage (VIN) conditions from 3V to 40V. The MPQ2024A-AEC1 provides up to 300mA of load current with excellent load and line regulation. During normal operation and a healthy battery, the pre-boost is completely turned off, reducing quiescent current (quiescent current), making the device suitable for always-on power supplies. The MPQ2024A-AEC1 also integrates a MOSFET in the pre-boost to further reduce external component count and EMI. Both the LDO output and boost output can be configured via the digital interface. The pre-boost output voltage (VOUT_BOOST) is adjustable from 6.5V to 15.9V. LDO output voltage (VOUT) is adjustable from 1V to 13.6V. The LDO output is protected during load dump conditions. For bench evaluation, various settings can be easily configured through the digital interface instead of changing external components. Once you reach your desired settings, you can permanently store them in memory. The MPQ2024A-AEC1 is available in a QFN-16 (4mm x 4mm) package with wettable flanks and is AEC-Q100 qualified.
