About This Product

■Summary

The MPQ4425C is a high frequency, synchronous, rectified, step-down switch-mode white LED (WLED) driver with integrated power MOSFETs. It is a compact solution that delivers up to 1.5A continuous output current (IOUT) voltage over a wide input voltage (VIN) range of 4V to 36V with excellent load and line regulation. Synchronous rectification mode provides high efficiency over the entire IOUT load range. Current mode control provides fast transient response and improves loop stability. Extensive protection features include overcurrent protection (OCP) and thermal shutdown. The MPQ4425C is available in an ultra-small QFN-13 (2.5mm x 3mm) package with a minimal number of standard off-the-shelf external components.

・Wide 4V to 36V operating input voltage (VIN) range ・Continuous LED current (ILED) up to 1.5A ・Pulse width modulation (PWM) dimming with minimum 100Hz dimming frequency (fDIM)

■High performance that improves thermal function

・Low on-resistance (RDS (ON)) of 90mΩ and 60mΩ, internal power MOSFET ・0.195V reference voltage (VREF) ・Synchronous mode for high efficiency

■EMC and EMI reduction

・Default switching frequency (fSW) of 2MHz ・Rich protection functions: ・Failure indication of LED short circuit, LED open, and thermal shutdown ・Overcurrent protection (OCP) by valley current detection ・Thermal shutdown

■Other functions

・Forced continuous conduction mode (FCCM) ・Internal soft start (SS) ・CISPR25 Class 5 compliant ・Provided in QFN-13 (2.5mm x 3mm) package ・Provided in wettable flank package ・AEC-Q100 Grade 1 compliant
