About This Product

■Summary

The MPM3551-AEC1 is an easy-to-use, fully integrated synchronous step-down power module with integrated inductor and power MOSFET. Excellent load and line regulation provides up to 3A continuous output current (IOUT). A wide 3.3V to 36V input voltage (VIN) range and 42V load-dump tolerance support a variety of step-down applications in automotive input environments. A quiescent current (quiescent current) in shutdown mode of 1μA allows the device to be used in battery-powered applications. It achieves high power conversion efficiency over a wide load range by lowering the switching frequency (fSW) under light load conditions and reducing switching and gate drive losses. An open-drain power good (PG) signal indicates whether the output is within 94.5% to 105.5% of its nominal voltage. Frequency foldback helps prevent the inductor current (IL) from running out of control during start-up. Thermal shutdown provides reliable and fault-tolerant operation. Provides high duty cycle and low dropout (LDO) modes for automotive cold crank conditions. The MPM3551-AEC1 is ideal for a wide range of applications where PCB area is limited. It is offered in a QFN-20 (4mm x 6mm) package and is AEC-Q100 qualified.
