About This Product

■Summary

The DIY8883 is a high frequency, synchronous buck converter with an IC control interface and multi-page one-time programmable memory. It provides up to 3A of continuous output current with excellent load and line regulation over a wide input supply range. The DIY8883 integrates high-side and low-side power MOSFETs for high efficiency without external Schottky diodes and is available in a 16-pin QFN 3 x 3 package. With internal compensation and a feedback divider, the DIY8883 is a very compact solution with a minimum of standard external components. DIY8883 is designed to be extremely versatile. The output voltage level is adjustable on the fly from 0.6V to 12V through the I2C serial interface. Voltage slew rate, switching frequency, enable, and power-saving mode can also be selected through the I2C interface. This allows users to optimize each output to suit specific requirements. For bench evaluation, various settings can be easily configured through the I2C interface instead of changing external components. Once the desired optimal settings are reached, multiple pages of one-time programmable memory are available to permanently store the settings. Current mode operation provides fast transient response and facilitates loop stabilization. Extensive protection features include overvoltage (UVLO), overvoltage protection (OVP), overcurrent protection (OCP), and overtemperature protection (OTP).
