About This Product

■Summary

The MPQ4214-AEC1 is a synchronous 4-switch buck-boost controller that can regulate various output voltages with a wide input voltage (VIN) range and high efficiency. The MPQ4214-AEC1 offers programmable output voltage (VOUT), VOUT slew rate control, and constant output current limit. This makes the MPQ4214-AEC1 ideal for USB Type-C powered USB Power Delivery (PD) designs. The MPQ4214-AEC1 uses valley current control in buck mode and peak current control in boost mode to provide fast load transient response and smooth buck-boost mode transients. The MPQ4214-AEC1 offers forced continuous conduction mode (FCCM) and configurable average current limit to support flexible designs for a variety of applications. Additional features include hiccup overcurrent protection (OCP), auto-retry overvoltage protection (OVP), configurable soft-start, and configurable undervoltage lockout (UVLO). The MPQ4214-AEC1 is available in a QFN-27 (5mm x 5mm) package and is AEC-Q100 Grade 1 qualified.

・Start-up input voltage (VIN) range from 6V to 40V ・Operating VIN range from 5V to 40V -Step output current (IOUT) limit adjustment below 50mA via IPWM pin ・Frequency dithering function for EMI optimization ・Integration of VOUT discharge function -Selectable 200kHz, 300kHz, 400kHz, or 600kHz switching frequency (fSW) ・Overcurrent protection (OCP) ・Short circuit protection (SCP) ・Overvoltage protection (OVP) ・Output high impedance state during EN shutdown - Interrupt indicators for CC, OCP, OVP, and overvoltage protection (OTP) ・Provided in QFN-27 (5mm x 5mm) package ・AEC-Q100 Grade 1 compliant
