About This Product

■Summary

The MPQ4314 is a programmable frequency synchronous step-down switching converter with integrated high-side and low-side power MOSFETs (HS-FET and LS-FET, respectively). Provides high efficiency output current (IOUT) up to 4A with current mode control for fast loop response. A wide input (VIN) range of 3.3V to 45V accommodates a variety of step-down applications in automotive input environments. A 1.7μA shutdown current allows the device to be used in battery-powered applications. High power conversion efficiency is achieved over a wide load range by scaling down the switching frequency (fSW) under light load conditions to reduce switching and gate driver losses. An open-drain power good (PG) signal indicates that the output is within 10% of its nominal voltage. Frequency wrapping helps prevent runaway inductor current during start-up. Thermal shutdown provides reliable and fault-tolerant operation. High duty cycle and low dropout (LDO) modes are provided for automotive cold crank conditions. The MPQ4314 is available in a QFN-20 (4mm x 4mm) package.
