About This Product

■Summary

MPQ8847A is a highly integrated high frequency synchronous step-down converter with I2C control interface. It supports up to 6A load current over a 2.7V to 6V input voltage (VIN) range and has excellent load and line regulation. Constant frequency hysteresis mode provides very fast transient response without loop compensation, resulting in high efficiency under light load conditions. The output voltage (VOUT) can be controlled on the fly via a 3.4Mbps I2C serial interface. The voltage range can be adjusted between 0.6V and 1.235V in 5mV steps. VOUT slew rate, switching frequency (fSW), and power-saving mode are programmable via the I2C interface. Protection features include internal soft-start (SS), overcurrent protection (OCP), and thermal shutdown. The MPQ8847A requires a minimum of standard external components and is available in a compact QFN-14 (2.5mm x 3mm) package.
