About This Product

■Summary

The MPQ2166B is an internally compensated dual pulse-width modulation (PWM) synchronous step-down converter that operates from an input voltage (VIN) range of 2.7V to 6V to produce an output voltage (VOUT) as low as 0.6V. The MPQ2166B is a 2A/2A or 3A/1A output current (IOUT) regulator that is ideal for a wide range of applications including automotive infotainment, clusters, telematics, and mobile devices. The device integrates dual, 55mΩ high-side MOSFETs and 20mΩ synchronous rectification, achieving high efficiency without the use of external Schottky diodes. The MPQ2166B offers peak current mode control and internal compensation, allowing low dropout settings. Both channels can operate at 100% duty cycle. Extensive protection features include cycle-by-cycle current limiting and thermal shutdown. The MPQ2166B requires a minimal number of off-the-shelf standard external components and is available in a QFN-18 (2.5mm x 3.5mm) package.
