About This Product

■Summary

The MPQ4436B-AEC1 is a frequency programmable synchronous step-down switching regulator that integrates internal high-side and low-side power MOSFETs (HS-FET and LS-FET, respectively). It provides high efficiency output current (IOUT) up to 6A with current mode control that allows fast loop response. A wide input voltage (VIN) range of 3.3V to 45V supports a variety of step-down applications in automotive input environments. The 1.7μA shutdown mode quiescent current allows the part to be used in battery-powered applications. It achieves high power conversion efficiency over a wide load range by lowering the switching frequency (fSW) under light load conditions and reducing switching and gate driver losses. An open-drain power good (PG) signal indicates whether the output is within 95% to 105% of its nominal voltage. Frequency foldback prevents the inductor current (IL) from running out of control during start-up. Thermal shutdown provides reliable and fault-tolerant operation. Provides high duty cycle and low dropout (LDO) modes for automotive cold crank conditions. MPQ4436B-AEC1 is available in a QFN-20 (4mm x 4mm) package.
