About This Product

■Summary

The MPQ4360 is a frequency-configurable synchronous rectification step-down switching converter with internal high-side and low-side power MOSFETs. The device provides high efficiency output current (IOUT) up to 6A with current-mode control for fast loop response. A wide input voltage (VIN) range of 3.3V to 40V supports a variety of step-down applications in automotive input environments. A 1.7μA shutdown current (ISD) allows the part to reduce switching frequency (fSW) under light load conditions in battery-powered step-down applications, reducing switching and gate drive losses, thereby achieving high power conversion efficiency over a wide load range. An open-drain power-good (PG) signal indicates whether the output voltage (VOUT) is between 95% and 105% of the nominal voltage. Frequency foldback prevents the inductor current (IL) from running out of control during start-up. Thermal shutdown provides reliable and fault-tolerant operation. Provides high duty cycle and low dropout mode for automotive cold crank conditions. The MPQ4360 is available in a QFN-20 (4mm x 4mm) package.
