About This Product

■Summary

The MPF42797 is a drop-in solution that provides comprehensive status information for lithium-ion battery strings of up to 10 series cells. The MPF42797 estimates the internal state of charge (SOC) and state of health (SOH) of each cell and the pack as a whole. The MPF42797 also determines remaining run time, charging time, and momentarily available power. Onboard memory enables lifetime logging of critical parameters. The MPF42797 is easy to use and supports a variety of lithium cell chemistries and cell sizes. A few basic settings allow for quick setup, and advanced configuration features allow you to fine-tune your device for specific applications. When combined with the MP279x battery monitor, the MPF42797 can achieve SOC accuracy within 3%. The MPF42797 can also be combined with other analog front ends (AFEs) or battery stack monitors. A 400kHz serial interface provides standard, robust communication. MPF42797 is available in a TQFN-32 (4mm x 4mm) package.
