About This Product

■Summary

The MPF42790 is a drop-in solution that provides comprehensive status information on Li-ion battery strings up to 16 cells in series. The MPF42790 estimates the internal state of charge (SOC) and state of health (SOH) of each cell and the pack as a whole. The MPF42790 also determines remaining runtime, charging time, and momentarily available power. Onboard memory allows logging of failures of critical parameters. The MPF42790 is easy to use and supports a variety of lithium cell chemistries and cell sizes. A few basic settings allow for quick setup, and advanced configuration features allow you to fine-tune your device for specific applications. When combined with the MP279x battery monitor, the MPF42790 can achieve SOC accuracy within 3%. The MPF42790 can also be combined with other analog front ends (AFEs) or battery stack monitors. A 400kHz I2C interface provides standard and robust communication. 5-level LED driver provides a simple and cost-effective charge level indicator for your device. The MPF42790 is available in a TQFN-32 (4mm x 4mm) package.
