About This Product

■Summary

The MP26123 is a monolithic DC/DC step-down switching charger for 2-cell or 3-cell Li-ion battery packs. It integrates a high-side power MOSFET that can output up to 2A charging current. It also features peak current mode control for fast loop response and easy compensation. The MP26123 uses a sense resistor to control programmable charging current and two control loops to precisely adjust charging current and charging voltage. The MP26123 has multiple fault condition protection features including cycle-by-cycle current limiting and thermal shutdown. Other safety features include battery temperature monitoring and protection, charging status display, and a programmable timer that stops the charging cycle when the timer expires. The MP26123 requires a minimal number of readily available external components. The MP26123 is available in a 4mm x 4mm, 16-pin QFN package.
