About This Product

■Summary

The MP2615A is a high efficiency switch-mode battery charger suitable for 1-cell or 2-cell Li-Ion or Li-Polymer applications. The MP2615A can provide a programmable 2A charging current through an accurate sense resistor over the entire input range. MP2615A uses two control loops to regulate charging current and full battery voltage to achieve high precision constant current (CC) charging and constant voltage (CV) charging. Constant off-time (COT) control allows operation at up to 99% duty cycle when the battery voltage is close to the input voltage, keeping charging current at a relatively high level at all times. Battery temperature and state of charge are constantly monitored during each charging cycle. Two status monitoring output pins are provided to indicate battery charging status and input power status. The MP2615A also features internal reverse current prevention protection. The MP2615A is available in a 3mm x 3mm 16-pin QFN package.
