About This Product

■Summary

The MP2733 is a 4.5A highly integrated switching mode battery management device for single-cell Li-ion or Li-Polymer batteries. The device works with power path management in narrow voltage DC (NVDC) systems and is well suited for a variety of applications including smartphones, tablets, wireless cameras, and other portable devices. Its low impedance power path optimizes efficiency, reduces battery charging time and extends battery life. I2C interface allows flexible control of devices with configurable charging and system settings. The MP2733 supports a wide range of input sources, including standard USB host ports and high-power power adapters with fast charging capabilities. MP2733 realizes USB input type detection via DP/DM pin. The device supports USB OTG (On-The-Go) operation by providing 5V on the input bus with a maximum output current limit of 3A. MP2733 initiates and completes charge cycles without software control. Automatically detect battery voltage and charge battery in different stages. Charging will automatically end when full charge is detected. When the charged battery drops below the recharge threshold, the charger automatically begins another charging cycle. This charger offers a variety of safety features for battery charging and system operation, including a charging safety timer, battery temperature monitoring, overvoltage protection (OVP) and overcurrent protection (OCP). When a fault occurs, the charger asserts the INT signal to the host. The device provides BATFET disable control for entering shipping mode and system reset functionality via the DISC pin.
