About This Product

■Summary

The MP2615C is a high efficiency switch-mode battery charger suitable for single-cell or dual-cell Li-Ion or Li-Polymer applications. The IC provides 2.1A of supply current, adjustable through an accurate current-sensing resistor over the entire input range. The MP2615C uses two control loops to regulate the supply current and full battery voltage, providing precision constant current (CC) and constant voltage (CV) charging. Constant on-time (COT) control allows operation at up to 99% duty cycle when the battery voltage is close to the input voltage. This maintains a relatively high supply current. Battery temperature and charging status are constantly monitored during each power cycle. Two status monitor output pins are provided to indicate battery charge status and input power status. MP2615C has internal reverse blocking protection. The MP2615C comes in a QFN-16 (3mm x 3mm) package.
