About This Product

■Summary

The MP2723 is a 3A highly integrated switching mode battery management device for single-cell Li-ion or Li-Polymer batteries. The device works with the NVDC system's power path management and is suitable for a variety of applications including smartphones, tablets, wireless cameras, and other portable devices. Its low impedance power path optimizes efficiency, reduces battery charging time and extends battery life. I2C serial interface allows flexible control of devices through charging and system configuration. The MP2723 accepts 5V input sources such as standard USB host ports, USB charging ports, and USB compliant power adapters. This device provides USB input type detection via DP/DM pin. Supports USB OTG (On-The-Go) operation by supplying 5V to the input bus with a maximum output current limit of 1.5A. MP2723 initiates and completes charge cycles without software control. Automatically detect battery voltage and charge battery in different stages. The charger will automatically shut down when it detects that the battery is fully charged. When the battery falls below the recharge threshold, the charger automatically begins another charging cycle. This charger offers a variety of safety features for battery charging and system operation, including a charging safety timer, battery temperature monitor, and overvoltage and overcurrent protection. If any fault occurs, the charger asserts INT to the host. The device provides BATFET disable control for entering shipping mode and system reset functionality via the DISC pin. The MP2723 is available in a QFN-26 (3.5mm x 3.5mm) package.
