About This Product

■Summary

The MP2696A is a highly integrated, flexible switch-mode battery charging and power path management device designed for single-cell Li-ion and Li-Polymer batteries used in a wide range of portable applications. MP2696A integrates three battery charging phases: precharge, constant current, and constant voltage charging. The device also manages input power through input current limit adjustment and minimum input voltage adjustment. The MP2696A can be switched to boost mode to generate system power output from the battery. The MP2696A has an IN to SYS pass-through path to pass the input voltage to the system. The I2C interface allows the host to flexibly program charge and boost parameters. You can also read the operational status of the device from the registers. Safety features include SYS short-circuit protection, input overvoltage protection, battery undervoltage protection, thermal shutdown, and JEITA battery temperature monitoring. MP2696A is available in a QFN-21 (3mm x 3mm) package.
