About This Product

■Summary

The MPM3593 is a highly efficient, synchronous rectification step-down module with an I2C control interface and multiple pages of one-time programmable (OTP) memory. It has excellent load and line regulation over a wide input voltage (VIN) range and delivers up to 3A of continuous output current (IOUT). The MPM3593 integrates internal high-side MOSFETs (HS-FETs) and low-side MOSFETs (LS-FETs) to achieve high efficiency without the need for external Schottky diodes. With internal compensation and a feedback voltage divider, this device provides a very compact solution requiring a minimal number of standard off-the-shelf external components. The MPM3593's output voltage (VOUT) from 0.8V to 12V can be adjusted on the fly via an I2C serial interface. Voltage slew rate, switching frequency (fSW), enable, and power-saving mode are also configurable via the I2C interface. This allows users to optimize each output for different specifications. For bench evaluation, various settings can be easily made through the I2C interface instead of changing external components. Once the desired optimal settings are achieved, the settings are permanently stored in memory. Current mode provides fast transient response and facilitates loop stabilization. Extensive protection features include overvoltage (UVLO), overvoltage protection (OVP), overcurrent protection (OCP), and overtemperature protection. The MPM3593 is available in a QFN-41 (6mm x 8mm) package.
