About This Product

■Summary

The MPM3683-7 is an easy-to-use, fully integrated step-down DC/DC power module with 8A continuous current and 10A peak current. The MPM3683-7 integrates a DC/DC converter, a power inductor, and some basic passive components. The MPM3683-7 has excellent load and line regulation and can deliver output current over a wide input voltage supply range. The MPM3683-7 uses constant on-time (COT) control to provide fast transient response and facilitate loop stabilization. The operating frequency can be easily set to 600kHz, 800kHz, or 1,000kHz by setting MODE, and the MPM3683-7's frequency remains constant regardless of input and output voltages. The MPM3683-7 has an internal soft-start (SS) timer of approximately 1.6ms. This can be increased by placing an additional SS capacitor between TRK/REF and Vo Sense-. An open-drain power-good signal indicates that the output voltage is within the nominal voltage range. The MPM3683-7 has fully integrated, non-latching protection features including overcurrent protection (OCP), overvoltage protection (OVP), undervoltage protection (UVP), and overtemperature protection (OTP). The MPM3683-7 is available in a space-saving QFN-28 (7mm x 7mm x 4mm) package.
