About This Product

■Summary

The MP2420 is a step-down switching regulator that internally integrates high-side and low-side high-voltage power MOSFETs. Achieving high efficiency output up to 0.3A, an integrated watchdog adds further security redundancy to the system. A wide input range of 4.5V to 75V can accommodate a variety of step-down applications in automotive environments. The 5µA shutdown mode quiescent current over temperature range is ideal for battery-powered applications. By lowering the switching frequency under light load conditions, the MP2420 reduces switching and gate driver losses and achieves high power conversion efficiency over a wide load range. Switching frequency and short circuits during startup can also be reduced to prevent inductor current drain. Extensive protection features include undervoltage lockout (UVLO) and thermal shutdown. Thermal shutdown provides reliable and fault-tolerant operation. The MP2420 is offered in a TSSOP-16 EP package.
