About This Product

■Summary

MP5087A is a load switch designed to provide 7A load protection covering a voltage range of 0.5V to 5.5V. With its small package and low RDSON, the MP5087A provides a highly efficient and space-saving solution for notebooks, tablets, and other portable applications. With the soft start function, MP5087A can prevent inrush current when starting the circuit. MP5087A also offers other features such as power good, output discharge function, OCP, and thermal shutdown. The maximum load at the output (source) is current limited. This is achieved by utilizing a sense FET topology. The amount of current limit is controlled by an external resistor connected from the ILIM pin to ground. The device is available in a small 2 x 2mm QFN12 package.
