About This Product

■Summary

The MP5077 provides up to 7A load protection over a (VIN) voltage range of 0.5V to 5.5V. With a small package and small RDS (ON), the MP5077 is a highly efficient, space-saving solution for notebooks, tablets, and other portable, battery-powered applications. With the soft-start function, the MP5077 can prevent inrush current when starting the circuit. The MP5077 also provides programmable soft-start time, output discharge capability, OCP, and thermal shutdown capabilities. The maximum load at the output (source) is current limited. This is achieved by utilizing a sense FET topology. The amount of current limit is controlled by an external resistor connected from the ILIM pin to ground. An internal charge pump drives the gate of the power device, resulting in an extremely low on-resistance DMOS power FET of only 10mΩ. The MP5077 is available in a small 12-pin 2mm x 2mm QFN package.
