About This Product

■Summary

MP5073 provides up to 2A load protection with a voltage range of 0.5V to 5.5V. With a small package and small RDSON, the MP5073 is a highly efficient, space-saving solution for notebooks, tablets, and other portable, battery-powered applications. With the soft start function, MP5073 can prevent inrush current when starting the circuit. The MP5073 also provides programmable soft-start time, output discharge capability, OCP and thermal shutdown capabilities. The maximum load at the output (source) is current limited. This is achieved by utilizing a sense FET topology. The amount of current limit is controlled by an external resistor connected from the ILIM pin to ground. An internal charge pump drives the gate of the power device, resulting in a very low on-resistance DMOS power FET of only 50mΩ. The MP5073 is available in a small 12-pin 2mm x 2mm QFN package.
