About This Product

■Summary

The MP5036A is a protection device designed to protect the output circuitry from input transients while simultaneously protecting the input from unwanted short circuits and output transients. The DV/DT pin controls the slew rate at the output. Slew rate limits inrush current during startup. The maximum load at the output is current limited. The magnitude of the current limit is controlled by an external resistor connected from ILIMIT to GND. When the ILIMIT pin is left floating, there is a fixed 2.5A current limit. The output overvoltage protection (OVP) feature limits the output voltage. The device is offered in a TSOT23-6 package.
