About This Product

■Summary

The MP3910 is a peak current mode PWM controller that drives external MOSFETs with currents greater than 10A. With a typical operating current of 288µA, it can support flyback and boost in non-isolated and isolated applications. Current-mode control inherently provides simple loop compensation, with cycle-by-cycle current limit, undervoltage lockout, soft-start, internally regulated supply, and slope compensation all available to minimize external component count. The MP3910 is designed for flyback applications, but can also be used in other topologies such as boost, forward, and SEPIC. The 1A gate driver allows the use of various standard threshold ICs while minimizing external MOSFET power dissipation. Additionally, the MP3910 has a pulse-skipping mode feature that improves efficiency at light or no-load conditions. It also provides hiccup protection against OLP, OVP, and SCP conditions. The MP3910 is offered in an MSOP10 package.
