About This Product

■Summary

The MPQ3324 is an 8-channel white LED driver that operates over a wide input voltage range of 4V to 16V. The MPQ3324 utilizes eight internal current sources on each LED string terminal. The LED current for each channel is set by an external current setting resistor. Each channel has a maximum current of 100mA (for VIN ≥4.5V). This device integrates an I2C interface. There are 10 different I2C addresses that can be set via external resistors. This means that the MPQ3324 can support up to 10 ICs cascaded to drive an LED array. Each channel can be enabled or disabled through I2C. The MPQ3324 employs both independent PWM dimming and analog dimming for each LED channel, with 12-bit PWM dimming and 6-bit analog dimming for each channel. The ramp rate and phase shift of the LED current can be set to optimize EMI and EMC performance. MPQ3324 can output refresh signal from RFSH/FLT pin. Refresh signal frequency can be set via I2C. Integrated protection includes open load protection, short circuit load protection, and overtemperature protection (OTP). When the protection is activated, the fault indicator indicates that it is too low. At the same time, the corresponding fault register is set. The MPQ3324 is AEC-Q100 qualified and available in QFN-24 (4mm x 4mm).
