About This Product

■Summary

The MP3376A is a synchronous boost converter with eight current channels designed to drive WLED arrays for LCD panels in tablet and notebook backlight applications. The MP3376A uses peak current mode control and pulse width modulation (PWM) control to maintain regulation of the boost converter. The MP3376A adopts a standard I2C digital interface to set the operating mode, switching frequency, full-scale current for each channel, synchronous or asynchronous mode, dimming mode and duty, and various protection thresholds. The MP3376A has high efficiency due to low headroom voltage for LED regulation and low on-resistance of the switching MOSFET. Synchronous rectifiers save PCB size and total BOM cost. MP3376A is available in a QFN-24 (4mm x 4mm) package.

・8 channels, maximum 50mA per channel ・Synchronous rectifier converter with LS-FET/HS-FET with on-resistance of 160m/260mΩ ・Input voltage range from 3V to 30V ・Output voltage up to 37.5V ・LED regulation voltage of 520mV at 20mA ・Up to 2.5% current matching ・Switching frequency selectable in 350kHz / 500kHz / 650kHz / 800kHz / 950kHz / 1.2MHz / 1.8MHz / 2.4MHz ・A0, A1 pins for 4 I2C addresses ・Full-scale LED current from 0mA to 50mA, 8 bits, 0.196mA/step ・Selectable synchronous or asynchronous mode ・Contents of mixed dimming operation mode ・Analog dimming with external PWM input, 10-bit resolution ・Analog dimming via I2C interface, 10-bit resolution - Mixed dimming mode via external PWM input with 6.25% / 12.5% ​​/ 25% / 50% transition points ・Mixed dimming mode via I2C interface with 6.25% / 12.5% ​​/ 25% / 50% transition points ・Customizable default register values
