About This Product

■Summary

The MP8009 is an integrated IEEE802.3af/at PoE compliant powered device (PD) power converter. This includes a PD interface and a highly efficient flyback/forward controller. The PD interface has all the features of IEEE802.3af/at, including detection, one-event and two-event classification, 120mA inrush current limit, 840mA operating current limit, and 100V hot-swap MOSFET. The flyback/forward controller is specifically designed for both low cost, compact isolation solutions with primary side regulation (PSR) flyback applications and high efficiency secondary side regulation (SSR) active clamp forward applications. Can also be used in SSR flyback topology. The MP8009 supports front-end solutions for PoE PD applications with minimal external components. It comes in a QFN-28 (4mm x 5mm) package.
