About This Product

■Summary

The MPQ8626 is a high frequency, synchronous buck converter with integrated functions. The MPQ8626 provides an extremely compact solution that delivers up to 6A of output current with excellent load and line regulation over a wide input range. The MPQ8626 operates with high efficiency over a wide load range. The MPQ8626 employs internally compensated constant-on-time (COT) control to provide fast transient response and facilitate loop stabilization. The operating frequency can be easily set to 600kHz, 1,100kHz, or 2,000kHz in the MODE setting, and the MPQ8626's frequency remains constant regardless of input and output voltages. The output voltage rise slope is controlled by an internal 1.5ms timer and can be increased by adding a capacitor to TRK/REF. An open-drain power good (PGOOD) signal indicates that the output is within its nominal voltage range. If the input supply cannot power the MPQ8626, PGOOD is clamped to approximately 0.7V with an external pull-up voltage. Extensive protection features include overcurrent protection (OCP), overvoltage protection (OVP), undervoltage protection (UVP), and overtemperature protection (OTP). The MPQ8626 requires a minimal number of standard off-the-shelf external components and is available in a QFN-14 (2mmx3mm) package.
