About This Product

■Summary

The MP8638 is an integrated, high frequency, synchronous switch mode step-down converter. Continuous output current (IOUT) up to 12A with adjustable current limit (ILIMIT) provides an ultra-compact solution. MPS's unique switching loss reduction technology and built-in power MOSFET with low on-resistance (RDS (ON)) enable high efficiency operation across the entire IOUT. Provides fast transient response using adaptive constant-on-time (COT) control mode to facilitate loop stabilization. DC self-regulating loop and differential remote sensing provide excellent load and line regulation. Extensive protection features include overcurrent protection (OCP), overvoltage protection (OVP), undervoltage protection (UVP), and thermal shutdown. The MP8638 requires a minimal number of standard external components and is available in a QFN-16 (3mm x 3mm) package.
