About This Product

■Summary

The MPQ8655 is a high-frequency synchronous buck converter with integrated functions and compatible digital interfaces. The MPQ8655 provides an extremely compact solution with up to 30A output current (IOUT) per phase with excellent load and line regulation over a wide input supply range. The MPQ8655 operates with high efficiency over a wide IOUT load range. A digital interface realizes converter configuration and monitors key parameters. The MPQ8655 employs MPS' proprietary multiphase constant-on-time (MCOT) control, which provides ultra-fast transient response and simplifies loop stabilization. The MCOT scheme also allows multiple PQ8655 devices to be connected in parallel for superior current sharing and phase interleaving for high current applications. Extensive protection features include overcurrent protection (OCP), overvoltage protection (OVP), undervoltage protection (UVP), and overtemperature protection (OTP). The MPQ8655 requires a minimal number of standard off-the-shelf external components and is available in a TQFN-25 (4mm x 5mm) package.

・VOUT ・IOUT limit -Selectable pulse-skipping mode (PSM) or forced continuous conduction mode (FCCM) ・Soft start time (tSS) -Selectable configurable switching frequency (fSW) of 400kHz, 600kHz, 800kHz, or 1,000kHz Optional overcurrent protection (OCP), overvoltage protection (OVP), and overtemperature protection (OTP) for hiccup or latch-off modes ・Lamp compensation
