About This Product

■Summary

The MP5479 is a complete power management solution that integrates four high efficiency step-downs, a DC/DC converter, five low dropout regulators (LDOs), and a flexible I2C interface. Constant on-time control of the DC/DC converter provides fast transient response. Adjustable switching frequency (fSW) (up to 2.75MHz) in continuous conduction mode (CCM) significantly reduces the number of external inductors and capacitors. The output voltage (VOUT) can be adjusted via the I2C bus or preset via multi-time programmable (MTP) memory. Power on/off sequences can be configured via MTP or controlled via I2C. Extensive protection features include undervoltage lockout (UVLO) protection, overcurrent protection (OCP), overvoltage protection (OVP), and thermal shutdown. The MP5479 requires a minimal number of standard external components and is available in a space-saving QFN-26 (3.5mm x 4.5mm) package with wettable flanks.

■High efficiency step-down converter:

・Step-down 1: 4.5A DC/DC converter ・Step-down 2: 2.5A DC/DC converter ・Step-down 3: 4.5A DC/DC converter ・Step-down 4: 2A DC/DC converter ・Buck 1 and Buck 3 can be operated in parallel ・Buck 2 and Buck 4 can be operated in parallel ・2.7V to 5.5V operating input voltage (VIN) range ・VOUT range for Buck 1, Buck 2, and Buck 3 options: 0.4V to 3.58V/12.5mV steps or 0.4V to 2.2V/7.4mV steps ・VOUT range of buck 4: 0.4V to 3.58V/12.5mV steps ・Adjustable switching frequency (fSW) ・Adjustable soft start time (tSS) ・Adjustable phase delay ・Configurable PWM mode, automatic PFM mode, forced PWM mode ・Output overcurrent protection (OCP) ・Output overvoltage protection (OVP) ・One dedicated RTC LDO ・4 low noise LDOs ・Two independent input power supplies ・50mV dropout at 300mA load
