About This Product

■Summary

The MP8795 is a functionally integrated, high frequency, synchronous buck converter. It provides an extremely compact solution with excellent load and line regulation over a wide input supply range and up to 15A of output current. The MP8795 operates with high efficiency over a wide load range. The MP8795 employs an internally compensated constant-on-time (COT) control mode to provide fast transient response and facilitate loop stabilization. The operating frequency can be easily set to 600kHz, 800kHz, or 1,000kHz in the MODE setting, and the MP8795's frequency remains constant regardless of input and output voltages. The start-up slope of the output voltage is controlled by an internal 1ms timer. This can be increased by adding a capacitor to soft-start. The open-drain power good (PGOOD) signal indicates when the output is within its nominal voltage range. If the input supply cannot power the MP8795, PGOOD is clamped to approximately 0.7V with an external pull-up voltage. Extensive protection features include overcurrent protection (OCP), overvoltage protection (OVP), undervoltage protection (UVP), and overtemperature protection (OTP). The MP8795 requires a minimal number of standard external components and is available in a QFN-21 (3mm x 4mm) package.
