About This Product

■Summary

The MP2882 is a dual-loop digital multiface controller that powers memory and system-on-chip (SoC). The MP2882 works with MPS' Intelli-PhaseTM products to complete a multiphase voltage regulator (VR) solution with a minimum number of external components. The MP2882 is configurable with up to 16 phase operation for rail 1 and up to 8 phase operation for rail 2. The MP2882 provides on-chip non-volatile memory (NVM) for saving and restoring device settings. Device configuration and fault parameters can be easily configured or monitored via PMBus/I2C interface. The device can monitor and report output current (IOUT) through the Intelli-PhaseTM device's CS output. The MP2882 is based on a proprietary digital multiphase control that provides fast transient response to load transients with minimal output capacitance. Setting up power loop compensation is easy because there is only one power loop control method for both steady state and load transients. The MP2882 is available in a TQFN-56 (7mm x 7mm) package.
