About This Product

■Summary

The MP2855 is a dual-loop, digital, multiphase controller that powers the core of the AMD SVI2 2.0 platform. This IC works with MPS' Intelli-PhaseTM products to complete multiphase voltage regulator (VR) solutions with a minimum of external components. The MP2855 can be configured for up to 9-phase operation on rail 1 and up to 4-phase operation on rail 2. The MP2855 provides on-chip non-volatile memory (NVM) for saving and restoring the IC's configuration. IC settings and faulty parameters can be easily adjusted or monitored via PMBus or I2C interface. This IC can monitor and report output current (IOUT) through the CS output from Intelli-PhaseTM products. The MP2855 is a proprietary digital multiphase nonlinear control that provides fast transient response to load transients with minimal output capacitance. One power loop control method for both steady state and load transients, making it easy to set up power loop compensation. The IC is available in a TQFN-40 (5mm x 5mm) package.
