About This Product

■Summary

The MP4247 is a buck-boost converter with two integrated low-side (LS) power switches. The IC can deliver up to 100W of peak output power at a given input supply with excellent efficiency. MP4247 is ideal for USB Power Delivery (USB PD) applications. This IC can work well with external USB PD controllers via I2C interface. An I2C interface and one-time programmable (OTP) memory provide flexible and configurable parameters. Fault condition protection includes constant current (CC) current limiting, output overvoltage (OVP), and thermal shutdown (TSD). The MP4247 requires a minimal number of standard external components and is available in a QFN-20 (3mm x 5mm) package.

・UL and IEC62368-1 certified, Efile #322138 ・100W buck-boost converter with built-in low-side MOSFET (LS-FET) ・Functionally integrated gate driver for high-side power MOSFET (HS-FET) ・Start-up input voltage (VIN) range from 3.6V to 36V ・Supports 2.8V falling VIN when output voltage (VOUT) > 3.5V ・1V to 24V VOUT range with 1% accuracy ・Maximum 5A continuous output current (IOUT) ・Up to 98% peak efficiency Configurable reference voltage (VREF) range from 0.1V to 2.147V with 1mV resolution via I2C interface -Accurate output CC current limit of ±5% ・Compatible with PPS specification USB PD3.0 -Selectable configurable switching frequency (fSW) of 280kHz, 420kHz, or 600kHz - Selectable forced pulse width modulation (PWM) or automatic pulse frequency modulation (PFM) / PWM ・VCC low dropout (LDO) of output bias for high efficiency ・Output current monitor (IMON) function ・Line drop compensation by RSENS ・I2C, alert, and one-time programmable (OTP) memory ・Enable (EN) Shutdown passive discharge ・Output overcurrent protection (OCP), overvoltage protection (OVP), and thermal shutdown
