About This Product

■Summary

The MP2908A is a high voltage, synchronous step-down controller that directly steps down voltages up to 60V. The MP2908A uses a PWM current control architecture with accurate cycle-by-cycle current limiting and can drive dual N-channel MOSFETs. Advanced Asynchronous Mode (AAM) enables asynchronous operation and PFM mode to optimize efficiency at light loads. The MP2908A's operating frequency can be programmed by an external resistor or synchronized to an external clock for noise-sensitive applications. Extensive protection features include precision output overvoltage protection (OVP), output overcurrent protection and thermal shutdown. The MP2908A is available in TSSOP20-EP and QFN-20 (3mm x 4mm) packages.
