About This Product

■Summary

MP2910 is dual output with one synchronous buck PWM and one linear controller. This product is used to generate logic supply voltages for PC-based systems. The MP2910 includes internal soft-start, frequency compensation network, and sequenced power-good signaling, and provides logic control, output regulation, power monitoring, and protection functions all in a small footprint package. This product operates at a fixed frequency of 300kHz and provides the best compromise between efficiency, external component size, and cost. A linear controller is implemented to drive an external MOSFET for regulation and can be adjusted by setting an external resistor. Additionally, certain internal power good sequences and indicators are also implemented to comply with Intel's new platform requirements for the FSB_VTT power plane. An adjustable overcurrent protection (OCP) is designed to monitor the voltage drop across the RDS (ON) of the bottom MOSFET of a synchronous buck PWM DC/DC controller
