■TST Sweden's "Cooling Vest"Founded in 1990, TST SWEDEN AB is a Swedish manufacturer that develops and manufactures a variety of highly functional and highly comfortable protective clothing based on unique and innovative technology. The company's body temperature regulating vest ``Cooling Vest'' uses a special Temptech material (changes from solid to jelly-like at temperatures above 28°C, which absorbs body heat and prevents body temperature from rising) as a coolant.

Unlike ice packs and instant coolants, there is no need for a refrigerator or electricity bill, and it provides a gentle cooling sensation without overly cooling the wearer's body. Cooling vests can be worn under chemical protective clothing, fireproof clothing, or heat-resistant clothing that protects the wearer from chemicals, viruses, and bacteria, and under work clothing in harsh environments such as production sites and factories (high temperatures, workplaces that cannot be air-conditioned, etc.) to protect the wearer from heat stress and contribute to improving work efficiency. It also protects the wearer's safety by increasing their concentration while working.

■ Cooling vest featuresA cooling vest is a body temperature regulating vest developed to protect the wearer from rising body temperature when working in high-temperature environments or during strenuous activities. A total of 20 pieces (if multi) of Temptech material inserted into the inside pockets of the vest absorb heat from the wearer's body.

■Why it gets cold even though it is not an ice packWater has gas (water vapor), liquid (water), and solid (ice) phases, and it requires (releases) a large amount of energy when changing between the phases. Temptec material applies properties similar to water, and changes phase from solid to liquid at 28℃ (water changes phase at 0℃). At that time, it absorbs a large amount of energy and suppresses the rise in surrounding temperature.
