■Stress-free CO2 automatic stunning device “Backloader Relax”

In addition to our existing electric automatic stunning equipment, Marel has been supplying CO2 automatic stunning equipment all over the world. Because the pigs are not stunned individually, there is less stress, and smooth stunning is possible by taking advantage of the herd behavior of pigs.

■Midas automatic electrocution device

The Marel automatic electrolyzer guarantees optimal stunning without any side effects on meat quality. First of all, the side plate is equipped with a monorail and conveyor that supports the abdomen of the living organism while guiding it.This conveyor makes almost no noise, so it can smoothly guide the living organism to the entrance without stressing it. The vision system also senses the presence of living organisms and determines their exact location. This allows two electrodes to be placed in the correct position on the subject's head at the same time. Because these electrodes are placed in very precise locations, low voltages are required. This effective transport and vision system is non-invasive and takes into account a wide range of important aspects of meat technology. The feature of this electrolysis device is that it can keep operating costs low, and it can be easily installed without major modifications to the building.
