About This Product

IR640 PRO II", "IR720 PRO Filter", and "IR800 PRO Filter" are IR pass filters that transmit near-infrared rays of 640nm, 720nm, and 800nm ​​or more, respectively. Since it cuts visible light and transmits near-infrared rays, it can be used in place of L images when photographing the Hα region or planetary images, allowing the patterns on the planet's surface to be emphasized and captured.

■High contrast and sharp images

Since it cuts visible light and only transmits near-infrared rays, you can expect to capture sharp images with high contrast and reduced seeing effects.

■Reliable domestic quality. Adopts synthetic quartz glass

Synthetic quartz glass is used for the substrate. It is stronger and has better heat resistance than commonly used optical glass, so distortion during coating is smaller than usual, and it has excellent deposition stability and surface precision. This suppresses image deterioration caused by filters even when photographing planets at high magnifications. Reliably made in Japan by a major Japanese vapor deposition manufacturer.

■Highly versatile American size

The size is an American size that is convenient for shooting with CMOS cameras such as ZWO and QHY.

■IR 640 PRO II 48mm / American size

A new 48mm model has been added to the IR 640 PRO. Please also use it for shooting with single-lens reflex cameras and mirrorless cameras. In addition, the frame design of the American size has been revised, and the effective aperture has been changed to 25.5mm. The effective aperture of the IR 640 PRO II is 2mm larger than the previous model, making it less likely that vignetting will occur.
