About This Product

TFCalc calculates the properties of optical thin film coatings that form insulators and metals. Properties include reflectance, transmittance, absorption, phase shift, electric field, and color. TFCalc can handle coatings up to 5000 layers. This allows the coating design to be optimized for specific applications. TFCalc also contains a database of optical constants. Once a coating is designed, its performance is analyzed using angle of incidence and wavelength range. It also calculates the electric field strength at a given wavelength. A Japanese PDF manual is also included, making it even easier to use. Main features

■Layer change rate

TFCalc can calculate the rate of change for each layer of the coating. This is typically done after the coating design has been optimized. Once each layer is optimized, it is shown that even small changes in layer thickness are very well reflected in the merit function. Results are displayed only for optimized layers.

■ Rate of change

TFCalc calculates how much random error there is in the refractive index and thickness of the layers. TFCalc uses the Monte Carlo method to calculate and display the results.
