About This Product

NanoDCAL+ is the successor to NanoDCAL, a state-of-the-art general-purpose ab initio quantum transport package that combines nonequilibrium Green's function method (NEGF) and density functional theory (DFT) to predict nonequilibrium quantum transport in nanostructures, including current-voltage properties in nanoscale devices. NanoDCAL+ is built with a new fundamental design, adding new features and improved performance. NanoDCAL+ (NanoDFT Calculator Plus) is implemented using the linear combination of atomic orbitals (LCAO) approximation of NEGF-DFT. It is a versatile tool for ab initio modeling of non-equilibrium quantum transport, and is the successor to NanoDCAL, which has contributed to hundreds of scientific papers in fields as diverse as molecular electronics, nanotubes, topological insulators, batteries, magnetic tunnel junctions, and metal grain boundaries. By leveraging the new features of this product, we promise to improve the technical foundation of your R&D projects.

Scattering state, photocurrent, thermocurrent, and phonon calculations are available in its predecessor, NanoDCAL.
